The Salon

'The Salon' is an internal alteration to an existing home, situated in a tight terrace house context in South Melbourne where access to natural light was a priority. The project was an exercise in restraint in order to celebrate the client's extensive art collection which they have acquired over several decades. The layered materiality and monochromatic interior palette is deliberately recessive in an effort to enhance the colours and textures of the collection.
