"A monochromatic addition to a compressed 100m2 site"

Designed to maximise floor area across a micro lot in south Melbourne. The project delivers 3 bedrooms across a double storey design with a central courtyard that addresses its northern side elevation.

​

A highly restrained set of materials have been considered to ensure the sense of space is maximized helping to dissolve boundaries between interior and exterior.

​

The existing front parapet is retained and converted into private open space to take full advantage of the sites sweeping city views.

​

Expanded metal walkways pay homage to the sites urban environment while allowing for visual permeability to a double height void on entry.
